reportsActivist investor Bill Ackman of
Pershing Square Capital and former protégé
Scott Ferguson of Sachem Head Capital have
built up a roughly 10%, or $2B, stake in
Zoetis (ZTS) and could push for the company
to sell itself to a drug maker like Valeant
Pharmaceuticals (VRX), the company that
Ackman is already partnering with to pursue
Allergan (AGN), said The Wall Street Journal,
citing people familiar with the matter.
Shares of Zoetis are up about 7% to $42.95 in
afternoon trading following the report
