until Monday… (05:21 am) doji :For one
reason or another, I ma very bad on holding
my winners, specially the ones I swing.. I
have nice entries but sell them when they
star to pull back. I thinks I need to have to
isolate my scalper mindset from my swing’s
approach (05:23 am) Qwert :that is very
hard for all of us doji, for me i cant watch

listen -er read your explaination
Ed (07:39 am) elisha :Doji – i don’t see
a hammer at 10:37 (07:40 am) Qwert :elisha
guessing he meant 10:27 (07:40 am) doji
:10:27, red candle with log wick (07:40
am) elisha :ah so – that makes
sense (07:40 am) Ed :ok stock formed
morningstar, candles 3 to complete 10:19,
10:20, and 10:21, this is term at 10:27 you
had a crack and snap back of the morningstar
test so took next bar after 10:27 (07:41
am) Ed :”crack and snap-back” is term coined
in candlestick study (07:41 am) Qwert
:nice trading Ed (07:42 am) elisha :crack
as in cracking support and snapping back up
over it? (07:42 am) Ed :exactly
elisha (07:42 am) elisha :i love it when
you talk education (07:43 am) Ed :the key
was the morningstar and if would get retest
of that (07:44 am) Ed :this is what causes
it, people on sidelines have watched stock
drop and drop and drop, and the finally they
jump on short side, and they get bounced
hard, cause for crack then snap (07:45 am)
Ed :as new traders we have been on that side
before, going in with no patience discipline
or plan, we jump on momemtum (07:45 am)
doji :Nice trade Ed… (07:45 am) doji

on Friday’s OPEX (09:31 am) JoeyTSA :TSLA
pulling back doji (09:32 am) JoeyTSA :Z
coming into $90 area (09:32 am) Murano
:big spread on NDLS I am not going to
trade (09:32 am) Ed :thats one always seem
to have big spread (09:33 am) Ed :that
Citron rerport really got Z going (09:33
am) doji :Dye Z dye (09:33 am) elisha
:also on Z – 4 times it failed to close above
the 50ma today on the 1 min. the 5th attempt
failed – that would have been a good entry
also? (09:33 am) JoeyTSA :sure
did (09:34 am) JoeyTSA :i dont have the
50ma up elisha, maybe someone else
does (09:34 am) doji :It is trading below
the 50dMA the whole day (09:35 am) elisha
:i’m speaking between 10:03 and
10:29 (09:35 am) elisha :est (09:38
am) doji :Yes Elisha (09:38 am) elisha
:thx Doji (09:38 am) doji :Just be
carefull I don’t know who said TSLA is worth
$50 and look where it is now (09:38 am)
doji :It was back in July (09:42 am)
Murano :out 3/4 LGF (09:42 am) Ed :nice
one murano (09:42 am) JoeyTSA :Z popped
too quick for me (09:42 am) JoeyTSA :good
trade murano (09:43 am) Ed :joey just like
you do very well with those pullbacks, Z is a
favorite (09:43 am) Ed :for me (09:43
am) Murano :out last 1/4 LGF (09:44 am)
JoeyTSA :yeah, was getting ready but
didnt (09:44 am) elisha :Ed – your fav
being? loss of support with increasing vol
or? (09:45 am) doji :That is waht I was
talking about Z (09:45 am) doji :The drop
will be very volatile…. that is why I have
only a small position…. (09:45 am) doji
:Target $30… lol (09:46 am) JoeyTSA :who
cares if they are correct, all they have to
do is influence enough people for movement
🙂 (09:48 am) doji :We cab test the 50mMA
here (09:48 am) doji :can (09:48 am)
doji :theory (09:48 am) elisha :remember
Doji – on march 1st I said I did the head
& shoulders formula on AAPL and it said
AAPL was going to the 347 ish level. You
laughed and said you were buying puts – “all
of them” AAPL went to 385 ish. How much
money would that have been? (09:49 am)
doji :lol… sure I bough some but closed
when it reversed… (09:49 am) doji :That
is why I am always complaining that my exists
left a lot of money on the table (09:49
am) elisha :”) (09:50 am) doji :I have
always GTC stops… specially when I leave on
a business trip… or from one day to
another (09:50 am) doji :Just remember
the flash crahs (09:52 am) JoeyTSA
:trading while travelling can be a bit
scary (09:52 am) elisha :trading while at
home can also be a bit scary (09:52 am)
JoeyTSA :i dont even like to go to the
bathroom when i have a trade in action
haha (09:52 am) elisha :oh
dear….. (09:52 am) JoeyTSA :agreed
elisha (09:52 am) skydiver :I goofed by
being gone too long (09:53 am) Ed :what
was ur question elisha, when I scroll up it
mixes with other comments from
members (09:53 am) elisha :what – you
don’t like hash? (09:53 am) elisha :it
was – (09:53 am) Ed :now im really
confused LOL (09:54 am) doji :Ed, his/her
question was… are you going to work this
saturday night? (09:54 am) Ed :when I
scroll up, i see black writing mixed with
blue writing (09:54 am) Ed :lol (09:54
am) skydiver :Ed . . how crazy would it be
to go long on (09:54 am) Ed :doji is
funny (09:54 am) skydiver :on TSLA for a
swing ?? I feel it’s top heavy (09:55 am)
JoeyTSA :good one doji haha (09:55 am) Ed
:I think you are better off waiting for
pullback sky (09:55 am) skydiver :t hanks
Ed, you confirmed by thinking — thanks
🙂 (09:55 am) elisha :on Z – when it had
tested the 50m four times between 10:03
&10:29 without closing above it. Then on
the fifth attempt it was rejected by the
50ma. Would that have been a good enough
signal for a short? (09:55 am) doji :Sky,
buy high and sell low… lol (09:55 am)
skydiver :argh – I knew I had that backwards
😉 (09:55 am) Ed :the risk in buying here
is you get pullback, (09:56 am) skydiver
:yes . I have seen TSLA in the past pull back
a lot . . so . . thnking it might do that
again (09:57 am) elisha :aarg – you’re
going to tell me not enough vol (09:57 am)
Ed :Yes and no, elisha. This is why I say
that, just relying on 50sma to short if get
rejected and trade below for short is that
from proability standpoint the trade may work
5 out of 10times (09:58 am) Ed :The
problem is you dont know if it is being
rejected by 20sma, 50,sma, 54,sma, 10sma and
so on (10:00 am) Ed :So, what some will do
is draw a trendline, to help with this and
then once you see that stock is in downtrend
then you can short the highs as it
approaches that trendline, using trendline as
reference. Stop would be closing candle above
trendline (10:01 am) doji :SFUN moving in
lower volume after each candle (10:01 am)
Ed :Here is my point also, that type of trade
is more of an art also, as you can see using
the 50sma by itslef, once could have been
easily stopped out 3 times, eventhough you
were right on the direction (10:02 am) Ed
:What am I saying, basically that it is more
of advance trade (10:04 am) elisha
:thanks Ed – i understand everything you
explained except your 9:58 comment about not
knowing “if it is being rejected by 20sma,
50sma,etc.” My question is – if I am using
the 50 ma how much does it matter what the
other ma’s are saying? (10:06 am) Ed :You
will see that some use multiple ma’s in this
case, so if stock still remains below all
ma’s, one knows trend is still down and
remain short although stock has bounce up. By
using just one sma, this does not give same
feedback (10:07 am) doji :I use the
63.75MA… (10:07 am) elisha :I see said
the blind squirrel – thank you Mr.
Wizard (10:07 am) JoeyTSA :haha (10:07
am) Murano :if you went long NDLS I would
sell some here (10:08 am) doji :My
Brazilian secretary uses the 69… she said
it always work… lol (10:08 am) JoeyTSA
::) (10:08 am) JoeyTSA :problem is that
every ma, indicator etc works..until they
dont (10:08 am) doji :Z again (10:08
am) doji :Here is your 50mMA test (10:09
am) doji :Elisha (10:09 am) JoeyTSA :go
crazy trying to find the perfect one that
works every time (10:09 am) Ed :yep. Joey
comment further illustrate my point (10:09
am) skydiver :BP up on take over
chatter (10:09 am) elisha :ok ok – you
are both wizards! (10:10 am) JoeyTSA :you
have to get comfortable either with your
normal settings, or add way too many and go
really insane trying to figure out which will
work this time (10:10 am) skydiver :and
if you’re crazy like myself, the more the
merrier 🙂 (10:11 am) JoeyTSA :i used to
mess myself up by over-thinking (10:11 am)
elisha :guess i need to pick “which ones”
for me (10:11 am) doji :Thinking is
bad…. (10:11 am) Ed :have to agree
simple is better (10:11 am) JoeyTSA :yeah
elisha, some people like macd or
stochs..while others never look at
them (10:12 am) Ed :true what doji, says,
you dont want to think when it comes to
trading. It will slow you down (10:12 am)
elisha :OK – Doji is a wizard
too…. (10:12 am) JoeyTSA :just like when
news breaks (10:13 am) JoeyTSA :dont waste
time wondering what the news is, just say ”
how will the crowd react ?” and ” how is the
crowd reacting now?” (10:13 am) skydiver
:getting ready to cover BP short (10:13
am) JoeyTSA :AAPL to test $470 (10:14 am)
Murano :elisha, I use MACD and have added
RSI. If a stock comes up to it’s 50 SMA and
the MACD and RSI are looking straight up, not
starting to flatten on top, I will not
consider a short on that stock. (10:14 am)
elisha :and the difference between being one
of the fleeced sheep who reacts and chases
and being a disciplined trader is experience
and study I bet (10:15 am) skydiver :all
out of BP short (10:15 am) elisha :Thanks
Murano – even though you’re a wizard to you
will always be a blind squirrel to
me (10:15 am) JoeyTSA :and with news, just
because something moves violently in 1
direction today, doesnt mean it will
continue (10:16 am) JoeyTSA :with TSLA
cant rmember if it dropped on that lowered #,
but you can see it has gone up
overall (10:16 am) JoeyTSA :with Z today,
just on the news i should have shorted
instantly..but didnt (10:16 am) skydiver
:humm . guess that’s why the sky micro short
happens . . (10:17 am) JoeyTSA :doesnt
mean Z will actually hit $30 though, and who
knows, might shoot to $130 monday (10:18
am) Ed :yea sometimes analyst get mad bcuz
they miss move so they try to dampen the
move (10:18 am) Murano :I don’t often use
the 50 SMA. I prefer a chart pattern like
LGF 40 minutes ago. Dropping fast with
increasing. Watch the MACD and RSI for a
crossover. This works about 90% of the
time. (10:18 am) Murano :increasing
volume (10:18 am) skydiver :interesting
Murano. Never have used RSI (10:19 am)
elisha :thank you all for this great
input (10:20 am) skydiver :thanks for
asking questions elisha . . allows all of us
to learn with you 🙂 (10:20 am) JoeyTSA
:sometimes the answers lead to more
confusion/questions (10:22 am) skydiver
:true joey, but learned some good items today
. . . to apply would need me to try to apply
via virtual to pracitce first (10:22 am)
Murano :elisha, do you use ninja? (10:22
am) doji :I like watching the O/I specailly
on Thursday and Friday as that just give you
an idication of possble price
targets… (10:23 am) elisha :right now
yes murano (10:24 am) Murano :ok, put two
ninja charts side by side, one a one minute
the other a 30 second (10:24 am) Murano
:the stock is LGF (10:25 am) elisha :just
a min have to restart again (10:25 am)
Murano :your MACD setting will be 7,14,7
your RSI setting will be 14,10 (10:27 am)
elisha :back – working on it
murano (10:27 am) Murano :no
hurry (10:28 am) JoeyTSA :break time, see
you in 20 (10:30 am) elisha :i’m not sure
about the rsi setting – i only have one
option for period (10:30 am) elisha :i’m
assuming you mean stoch rsi on NT (10:31
am) Murano :period 14 smooth 10 (10:31
am) Murano :no not stoch rsi just
rsi (10:32 am) elisha :oh – my
mistake (10:33 am) Murano :put up down
volume at the bottom of the chart (10:33
am) Murano :it will read “volume up down” in
ninja (10:35 am) elisha :ok – got
it (10:36 am) Murano :your stock is
LGF go back to 11.36 central time on the
chart (10:36 am) elisha :except – how do
i get a 30 sec chart? (10:37 am) Murano
:click on the chart and type in 30s (10:37
am) elisha :thanks (10:37 am) Murano :let
me know when you have it (10:37 am)
elisha :i have it (10:37 am) Murano :are
you at 11.36 time (10:38 am) elisha
:yes (10:38 am) Murano :on both
charts (10:38 am) elisha :yes (10:38
am) Murano :you will see LGF dropping fast
and the volume increasing (10:39 am)
elisha :yes (10:40 am) Murano :at
11:36.30 you will see the RSI cross over on
the 30 second chart this is early warning to
get ready (10:40 am) Murano :the MACD on
the 30 second crosses over at
11:39.30 (10:40 am) Murano :do you see
this? (10:41 am) elisha :yes (10:42
am) Murano :this process will work about 90%
of the time on fast movers (10:42 am)
skydiver :nice murano . . .question . . how
do you get a 30 second chart? (10:42 am)
elisha :how did you ever figure this
out? (10:43 am) Murano :trial and
error (10:43 am) elisha :thanks sky for
asking this too (10:43 am) Qwert :sky just
type in 30s on the chart (10:43 am)
skydiver :thnx qwert . . 30s ?
okay (10:43 am) Qwert :murano are you
using lightning on that 30s chart (10:44
am) Murano :to be safe you may want to wait
for the same signals on the one minute
chart (10:44 am) Murano :only on fast
movers qwert (10:44 am) Qwert :so with
that setup whats your entry price on
LGF (10:45 am) doji :I cannot setup 30
seconds in TDA (10:45 am) Murano :33.63 on
LGF (10:46 am) Murano :lightning gave a
buy signal on the 30 second chart at
33.70 (10:47 am) Qwert :at 9:39 (10:47
am) Murano :on thbe one minute lightning gave
a buy signal at approx 33.80 (10:47 am)
Murano :yes, 9:39 (10:48 am) Murano :9:39
on the 30 second chart (10:49 am) Qwert
:nice setup 90% success is amazing (10:50
am) Murano :the setup has to be a fast mover
with increasing volume (10:50 am) elisha
:Thank you Murano, for taking the trouble to
walk me through that. (10:50 am) Murano
:no problem, happy to help (10:50 am)
Qwert :Murano did you use this setup for BERY
a couple days ago or is it to zoomed
in? (10:51 am) skydiver :nice Murano . .
will have to study this technique further . .
. looks very good (10:51 am) Murano :yes
qwert (10:52 am) Murano :this is the only
technique I use on fast movers (10:52 am)
Murano :fast movers with increasing
volume (10:53 am) skydiver :and I seem to
lilke those fast movers . . . 🙂 (10:55
am) elisha :murano – did you have an order
in ahead of time for LGF or did you place it
as it happened? (10:57 am) Murano :I have
to see the RSI crossover before I start and
entry (10:57 am) elisha :ok –
thanks (10:58 am) JoeyTSA :thanks for that
murano (10:58 am) Qwert :Murano do you
mean the 10 cross over the 14 or cross over
the midline (10:59 am) JoeyTSA :can also
get “seconds” chart thru the data series
tab (10:59 am) elisha :good question
qwert (11:00 am) Murano :the 14 over the
10 (11:01 am) Murano :you will notice you
get a cleaner crossover on the one minute
chart (11:02 am) JoeyTSA :for a blind
squirrel, you are pretty intricate
haha (11:02 am) Qwert :thx so you got that
signal 30 seconds before you had to make a
decision (11:02 am) Murano :also, the
histogram on the MACD is moving toward the
center line (11:03 am) elisha :i don’t
mean to belabor details here – but – the 10
is the smoother or the two lines? (11:03
am) Murano :the 10 is the smoother (11:03
am) elisha :or=of (11:03 am) Qwert :right
so do you anticipate that crossover (11:03
am) elisha :thank you – i think i got it
finally (11:03 am) Qwert :on
macd (11:03 am) doji :HEy Murano, can you
send a snapshot of your screen setup please
at [email protected]? (11:04 am) doji
:As far as I remember last time you said you
use the MACD crossover (11:04 am) doji
:with th4 7,14,9 configuration (11:04 am)
Murano :you will notice the MACD line cross
at the same time the MACD histogram crosses
the centerline (11:05 am) Qwert :yes now
will watch the next fast mover on that
setup (11:06 am) Murano :if you want to
get aggressive, when the RSI crosses and the
histogram is decreasing you can place the
order. This has bit me a few times. best to
wait for the MACD lines to cross. (11:07
am) Murano :I will send you a screen shot
doji (11:07 am) doji :Thanks
Murano… (11:07 am) doji :Ed sends
kisses for that (11:08 am) Qwert :/CL
moving (11:08 am) doji :SO you use both
the MACD and the RSI, right Murano? (11:12
am) Murano :yes (11:15 am) JoeyTSA :i
didnt see your /CL post qwert (11:15 am)
Qwert :no worries (11:15 am) JoeyTSA
:vodka for lunch not always the best choice
🙂 (11:16 am) elisha :is anyone having
problems staying connected with the room
today? i’ve been in and out like a jack
rabbit (11:16 am) Qwert :was watching for
a bounce going into pit close (11:16 am)
JoeyTSA :not today elisha (11:17 am)
Murano :sent you the e-mail doji (11:17
am) juan3 :Now I got confused on the MACD
periods. Doji just asserted using 7, 14,
9. But see what Muronao wrote
earlier: (11:17 am) juan3 :10:25 am
Murano : your MACD setting will be 7,14,7
your RSI setting will be 14,10 (11:19 am)
Murano :juan3, each trader develops a setup
he/she likes (11:20 am) JoeyTSA :agreed
murano, i have always just used the default
macd 12 26 9 (11:20 am) Murano :7,14,7 and
7,14,9 will probably look alike (11:20 am)
juan3 :thank you (11:21 am) Murano
:7,14,7 is alot fast than 12,26,9 but is more
prone to error. that is why I use RSI
also. (11:21 am) JoeyTSA :but i like a
smoother macd because i use it as a trend
indicator more than an entry signal (11:21
am) JoeyTSA :agreed again (11:23 am)
Murano :joey is 100% correct. MACD and RSI
are both good trend indicators. the process
I showed works well for fast movers with
increasing volume (11:24 am) JoeyTSA :and
then i glance at stochastics for extreme
overbought/sold signals (11:24 am) JoeyTSA
:but i dont trade black box style, so try to
take things in conjunction (11:25 am)
elisha :joey – what is “black box”
style? (11:26 am) JoeyTSA :anyone catch
that breakout on SRPT (11:26 am) JoeyTSA
:”black box” means that you take every trade
blindly based on certain criteria (11:26
am) elisha :thanks (11:27 am) JoeyTSA
:ie: you buy every stochastic cross over in
oversold area (11:27 am) JoeyTSA :but
without putting it conjunction with other
factors (11:28 am) JoeyTSA :does that make
sense elisha? (11:28 am) elisha :yes it
does (11:29 am) Murano :I am finding that
RSI over 70 or below 30 is also a good
indicator of oversold/overbought (11:29
am) Murano :especially on a 3 minute
chart (11:29 am) JoeyTSA :in an extreme
example, if 100 traders traded “black box”
style..they would all have the exact same
entry point (11:30 am) JoeyTSA :yeah
murano 70/30 or 80/20 , some traders also
like then they hit those areas than cross
back into neutral zone for entry (11:33
am) JoeyTSA :elisha: BIOS chart up in trade
room..black box with lightning would be
buying those green arrows…but in reality,
buying something in a downtrend not always
the best idea (11:35 am) elisha :i see –
i also did not cotton to the term “blindly”
in conjunction with trading (11:35 am)
JoeyTSA :i dont always make myself clear,
sorry (11:36 am) elisha :no no – you were
very clear (11:36 am) JoeyTSA :i use terms
that I know, doesnt always mean others
know (11:37 am) Qwert :Thx Mitch, Ed,
Joey, Murano, Disona, and to everyone Gonna
take off early cya all on monday enjoy your
weekend (11:37 am) JoeyTSA :the other
thing i forget is that we are all seeing
different things, at different points in our
trading etc (11:37 am) elisha :bye
qwert (11:37 am) JoeyTSA :have a great
weekend Qwert, thanks (11:37 am) skydiver
:enjoy your week-end as well qwert . . . see
ya Monday (11:39 am) Murano :see you
qwert (11:40 am) elisha :I want to thank
you all for all the generous information you
have shared in this room this last year.
This is my last day in the room and I want
you all to know i have learned a lot and will
miss being here. You guys/gals are a really
great bunch. (11:40 am) Murano :elisha, I
have already covered 3/4 of BCRX with a stop
at 7.08 on the balance (11:40 am) JoeyTSA
:sorry to see you go elisha (11:40 am)
JoeyTSA :hope it wasnt something doji said
haha (11:40 am) elisha :lol on
that (11:41 am) Murano :good luck
elisha (11:41 am) JoeyTSA :those pics of
him in his mankini were kind of disturbing
🙂 (11:42 am) skydiver :take care elisha,
been nice having you in the group. Wish you
the best as well. (11:42 am) elisha
:thanks joey – i’m going to miss youse
guys (11:42 am) elisha :thanks
Murano (11:42 am) elisha :thanks
sky (11:42 am) Murano :covered last 1/4
BCRX (11:42 am) skydiver ::) (11:43
am) Murano :happy to help elisha (11:43
am) elisha :murano you are one big bad blind
squirrel (11:43 am) Murano :haha (11:44
am) elisha :nice on BCRX murano (11:47
am) Murano :big storm here, I may loose
electricity
