[07:27 am] Kris : out all CIB long
[07:28 am] Mitch K: watching JAZZ drop
[07:44 am] Mitch K: I’d like to go over some
charts, i think it’s quiet enough to do that
now
[07:44 am] Mitch K: if a stock idea comes
along, we may be distracted
[07:45 am] Mitch K: first of all i see that a
lot of you guys are still using a website to
do day trading or scalping and stop doing
that
[07:46 am] Mitch K: and none of those are
given to you from a large brokerage
website
[07:46 am] Mitch K: you can do that for swing
trades but you are going to have a hard time
making money scalping using any website.
with these day trading techniques you need to
be fast, nimble and low cost
[07:47 am] Mitch K: why do i know that? I
can see the bulk of your orders are coming in
delayed, like 45 seconds to 1 min later
[07:48 am] Mitch K: so either a lot of you
are using website or your ability to make an
order is slow
[07:48 am] Mitch K: when i say the word
nimble, that means you have to be able to
make an order, change an order, move price,
get executed, and if you are more advance and
ready for 2nd 3rd or 4th open position at
same time, this is critical you are
proficient with keyboard commands, mouse,
correct platform, etc[07:49 am] Mitch K: go
ahead and reply
[07:49 am] Mitch K: you can see most of these
ideas work over the following 10-20-30
minutes correct.? i mean most of them do
what we expect them to do, would you
agree?
[07:50 am] Mitch K: at least that’s my
observation
[07:50 am] Mitch K: this isn’t an ego trip,
it is just an observation
[07:51 am] Mitch K: if you have observed that
a technique works, consistently, then what
you have to do is say to yourself, “Self,
most of these work because I’ve seen them
work most every day for XX number of days,
and I want to try some of these ideas.”
[07:52 am] Mitch K: so the biggest problem
for 99% of us is to manage our thoughts,
expectations, emotions, greed, fear, etc.
right
[07:53 am] Mitch K: negative thoughts,
distractions, your own flaws, reasons why you
trade, reasons why you do anything, all show
up in this business. the good, the bad and
the ugly
[07:54 am] Mitch K: and stop doing that
[07:54 am] Mitch K: so don’t do that
[07:54 am] Mitch K: so the worst thing you
can do is get big in one idea because you
feel or say “I missed that one. oh, darn,
that one was good and these other guys in the
TR (trading Room got it). I am going to
really load up on the next idea”
[07:55 am] Mitch K: and also get rid of the
“I am going to make up for that loss
mentality”
[07:55 am] Mitch K: so let’s make a deal
right now, shake hands, let’s not do these
things.
[07:55 am] Mitch K: you guys all agree or is
it just me that has done that before
[07:56 am] Mitch K: first one, ALK
[07:56 am] Mitch K: now let’s go through some
charts today
[07:56 am] Mitch K: we are talking about the
pattern, not specifically a stock, just the
pattern will be same on about 5-6 of these
stocks
[07:57 am] Mitch K: this opened down maybe
60-70 cents, climbed up
[07:58 am] Mitch K: it paused, i posted a
short idea i think, let me find what time.
ok 9:46 eastern time
[07:58 am] Mitch K: said ALK toppy
[07:59 am] Mitch K: that’s why i mentioned
earlier when i started this lesson you must
have the right platform or you won’t make
money on this
[07:59 am] Mitch K: was early in the session,
was looking for a quick short, it gave about
50-55 cents on the short side quickly and i
leave.
[08:00 am] Mitch K: let me find the other 5
stocks i saw that i posted here that did same
thing
[08:01 am] Mitch K: on that ALK, fyi, i don’t
really care for airline stocks that much but
i saw UAL gave same pattern as well
[08:02 am] Mitch K: just for you newer people
to this Trading Room or new to day trading
[08:03 am] Mitch K: i don’t care and you
should not care about what the stock is, what
the company does, we are only in these for
10-20-30 minutes
[08:04 am] Mitch K: it’s the pattern that we
care about because patterns tell you what
other investors are doing and basically you
are taking money from other people
[08:04 am] Mitch K: just a repeat, this is a
closed system, you win and someone else
loses
[08:04 am] Mitch K: or less educated than you
will be
[08:04 am] Mitch K: other investors, traders,
who are less educated than you
[08:05 am] Mitch K: that’s about 98% correct,
unless some company issues more shares or a
new IPO, then that adds to total market
cap
[08:06 am] Ed : advanced trade
[08:06 am] Ed : CRIS moving
[08:07 am] Mitch K: next stock, ROK
[08:07 am] Mitch K: so you see UAL same
pattern right? opens down, climbs up into
positive and i see UAL turn over = short.
UAL took longer and i posted that word UAL
finally turning over. gave 40-45 cents
potential, 2%, that’s good. took long and i
was losing patience
[08:08 am] Mitch K: same pattern i saw. i
posted. yes lower vol but same pattern,
[08:09 am] Ed : cover 1/4 short CRIS
[08:09 am] Ed : covering 1/2 short CRIS
[08:09 am] Ed : out all CRIS
[08:09 am] Mitch K: 30-35 cents on the short,
1.4% profit.
[08:09 am] Mitch K: ANN was similar, barely
got into positive and failed, looking for
short on that
[08:09 am] Mitch K: so that was 60 cents,
almost 1% on ROK short.
[08:10 am] Mitch K: nice one Eddie Money
[08:10 am] Ed : sorry too disturb teaching
[08:10 am] Mitch K: no prob Eddie, keep stock
ideas flowing, we teach in between stock
ideas. ideas have priority
[08:11 am] Mitch K: FSLR was another one,
same pattern
[08:12 am] Mitch K: HBHC was similar pattern
although didn’t start negative at opening but
similar
[08:13 am] Mitch K: CVD was similar, not
negative though at opening but basically same
pattern
[08:13 am] Mitch K: EMN was another,
[08:14 am] Mitch K: you get idea on that
pattern
[08:15 am] Mitch K: now something like WYNN,
opened down and went further down. i think
open was around 116.40, dropped 4+ points
more, then bounced. that’s a different
pattern, WYNN was a buy the bottom, not same
as first 5 stocks we talked about
[08:17 am] Mitch K: now something like PMC,
totally different pattern, not same logic or
approach as first 5
[08:18 am] Mitch K: don’t have time and
energy to explain all patterns, just trying
to focus on this first one
[08:21 am] Mitch K: i did not trade PMC but i
saw it too late.
[08:21 am] Mitch K: YOKU was another one i
saw, don’t think i posted
[08:23 am] Mitch K: now CIB was strong from
the opening, had one decent pullback and i
thought it was strong, mentioned to cover
around the time it was 59.25-59.30 and to
monitor 2nd helping short but watch if new
high
[08:23 am] Mitch K: that isn’t same pattern
as first 5, CIB was strong
[08:23 am] Mitch K: then Kris took it long
[08:24 am] Mitch K: so just try to get good
at one aspect of trading. there are many
many ways to make money. just get good at
one and master it. then learn another
technique.
[08:25 am] Mitch K: last thing i will say is
it is hard to be successful if and when you
are in a panicky state of mind, like “I got
to make this work or I die with my family in
30 days”
[08:27 am] Kris : or until you get married
[08:27 am] Mitch K: keep studying, read,
review charts,
[08:27 am] Mitch K: oh good one
[08:27 am] Mitch K: this is a process, a
longer term process that can take 6 months,
12, maybe even 18 months. but what do you
get in return for the effort? you have
something solid, until you have a stroke or
get Alzheimer’s
[08:28 am] Mitch K: you can be very very
profitable if you do it the right way
[08:30 am] Ed : too late to buy but REGN
breaking out
[08:30 am] Mitch K: we want you to be
successful, to improve your life and
lifestyle but you have to do your part and
that is to be a great student. Every person
I know that has become successful became a
good student.
[08:31 am] Ed : has consolidation @ 87
[08:31 am] Mitch K: and hey, if you are
emotional, that’s normal. What you are
trying to do is have your intellect be
stronger than your emotions and the only way
you can do that is to study, practice in a
virtual trading platform like Ninja Trader,
evaluate your progress, restudy technique
again, review trades and results on the
[08:32 am] Mitch K: as you understand a
technique and get proficient, your confidence
goes up with your proficiency and your
emotions go down. Remember, ok to be
emotional but intellect must be stronger than
emotions.
[08:34 am] Mitch K: you don’t have to lose a
lot of money learning. if you insist on
starting trading with real money before you
are proficient, then give money to your
church first, at least you do some good. or
give money to someone to hold on to it first,
providing they will give it back
[08:41 am] Ed : selling 1/2 long REGN
[08:41 am] Ed : stop 1/2 @ 87.069 b/e[08:54
am] Ed : selling 1/4 long REGN
[08:57 am] Ed : moving stop last 1/4 REGN to
87.49
[09:23 am] Kris : nice flag on CIB

33.70ish for potential long, although trend

[12:21 pm] Kris : nice looking setup but you

[12:26 pm] Kris : ENDP starting to look more
appetizing
[12:26 pm] Kris : remember it’s late in the
day
[12:26 pm] Kris : support at 36.00
[12:27 pm] Kris : might not get good follow
through volume on the bounce so I would take
a smaller position if you trade it.
[12:45 pm] Kris : For the new people, did you
guys see where we got 36.00 support on
ENDP?
[12:49 pm] Kris : SPY looking to stay strong,

[12:59 pm] Mitch K: you guys have a good
day?
[01:00 pm] Brent : Have a great night, see
you in the morning
[01:00 pm] Mitch K: you have to be aggressive
and decisive in that first hour. be ready,
wake up, eat before
[01:01 pm] Kris : good night everyone. great
job today. see you tomorrow.
[01:01 pm] Mitch K: it’s basically like
salmon fishing, the main bite is in the
morning, early. and then it cools off
[01:01 pm] Mitch K: it’s just the nature of
day trading stocks
[01:02 pm] Mitch K: later guys and gals

[07:50 am] joeytsa : yep
[07:50 am] shark : yes, Mitch!
[07:50 am] thomasohana : yes Mitch
[07:50 am] qwert : yes sir
[07:50 am] garyb : yes
[07:50 am] apple : yes, they do
[07:50 am] mh : how do you check if your
orders are delayed i am using think or
swim
[07:51 am] eyes : Mitch on CIb Stoch turned
over while Price still going up 1
[07:51 am] jolliffboy : right on Mitch
[07:51 am] qwert : cib consolidating near
hod[07:51 am] garyb : I use the Tradestation
Matrix…..nothing is faster IMO
[07:52 am] shark : IMO? garyb[07:52 am]
garyb : in my opinion
[07:52 am] apple : absolutely correct, MK
[07:52 am] scalpman : I started in
ETrade…but quickly realized it was totally
insufficient for order entry. I use Trade
Station now!
[07:52 am] jolliffboy : Right again Mitch
[07:53 am] apple : and most of all have
patience, MK
[07:53 am] khall : right
[07:53 am] richard : exactly scalpman, me
too
[07:53 am] scalpman : I like to put on an
OCO. It places my stop and two limit orders
at 1 and 1.5 %.
[07:54 am] scalpman : Then I watch and
adjust.
[07:54 am] mh : how can you tell if your
orders or information is delayed
[07:54 am] scalpman : If I fill on the first
limit order, i cancel the rest of the OCO and
place a new one.
[07:55 am] thomasohana : I’ve done it
mitch[07:55 am] richard : yes M
[07:55 am] skydiver : totally agree Mitch
—
[07:55 am] mh : i am the poster child
[07:55 am] joeytsa : sounds like a plan
[07:56 am] shark : absolutely!
[07:56 am] skydiver : thanks Mitch —
[07:56 am] scalpman : The toughest thing is
picking the right order entry…, too soon
too late…It is an art!
[07:56 am] apple : you got it, MK, no more
going back to bad old habits, new year, fresh
beginning. shake!
[07:56 am] shark : right scalp!
[07:57 am] skydiver : yes Mitch – see
that
[07:57 am] apple : i agree scalp about the
orders…
[07:59 am] scalpman : WWW turning over…
[08:00 am] shark : agreed, Mitch
[08:01 am] rusty : SINA radar
[08:01 am] mh : mitch is think or swim
tdameritrade the wrong platform
[08:01 am] apple : thx rusty
[08:02 am] mhaus : mh, TOS is expensive for
scalping
[08:02 am] mhaus : it is $20 per round
trip
[08:02 am] mhaus : IB, TS or Lightspeed are
$2 per round trip
[08:03 am] shark : 🙂
[08:03 am] carl : new guy here, how is the
IB platform?
[08:03 am] Mitch K: IB platform good if you
use Ninja
[08:03 am] mhaus : Brokerage is good,
platform sucks
[08:04 am] mhaus : IB with Ninja and
Kineticks is the combination you want to
use
[08:04 am] carl : what fee structure is best
on IB?
[08:05 am] mhaus : I use fixed,ut that is my
preference b
[08:05 am] jsn13 : definitely need
that….IB + Ninja + Kinetick…
[08:06 am] mhaus : IB charts suck, so Ninja.
Their data feed is slow, so Kineticks.
[08:07 am] jsn13 : Any explanation on this
kind of advanced trade, CRIS?
[08:07 am] shark : that was good one,
Mitch
[08:09 am] apple : thx for CRIS, E
[08:10 am] apple : 3 minutes, pretty darn
good
[08:10 am] jsn13 : Ed, can u point out which
bar u shorted CRIS?
[08:11 am] mhaus : VPRT
[08:12 am] Ed : on some of these stocks like
cris,it is advanced and at times it will give
u a quick long and quick short
[08:12 am] rusty : CRIS radar
[08:12 am] apple : very fast
[08:12 am] Ed : so on this one I went long
and reversed for short
[08:13 am] sunset : so Ed when u said
advanced , that means short it
[08:14 am] Ed : advanced means being flexible
and quick as it can give u a quick long and
quick short
[08:14 am] rusty : CRIS FDA approval
[08:15 am] Ed : this is not edged in stone as
it depends on price action, vol, price, if @
near resist/support.
[08:16 am] Ed : jsn13 and sunset, i would
suggest practicing these in virtual to get
feel of it, until u get really good at
them
[08:17 am] sunset : that is what i am doing
for now
[08:19 am] Ed : good deal sunset
[08:20 am] sunset : haven’t made any trades
today, just trying to get familiar with the
work here thanks
[08:20 am] shark : did you trade PMC,
Mitch?
[08:20 am] Ed : that’s best
[08:21 am] rusty : RDWR radar
[08:21 am] Ed : welcome to the room sunset
[08:21 am] skydiver : I’m out of time —
have a great day trading everyone. Thnx
again for the great lesson today Mitch
[08:22 am] Ed : c ya sky
[08:22 am] joeytsa : later sky, nice
trading
[08:22 am] jsn13 : Anyone using IB and do u
have shares to short?
[08:22 am] shark : Kris posted/traded
YOKU
[08:23 am] khall : I’m using IB and yes,
they do have a good inventory of shares to
short
[08:23 am] jsn13 : sorry i meant VPRT in
specific….
[08:23 am] thomasohana : yes IB has
shorts
[08:26 am] khall : LOL – that’s rather
extreme Mitch
[08:26 am] mhaus : SINA moving again
[08:27 am] joeytsa : how about 14 yrs?
🙂
[08:27 am] khall : Mitch, that’s what I’m
counting on – the process is nerve wracking
at times though
[08:27 am] shark : thank you, MITCH! 🙂
[08:28 am] apple : funny joey
[08:28 am] shark : NFLX watching -poss
bottom
[08:28 am] joeytsa : funny but true apple
[08:28 am] joeytsa : SINA at prev hi
[08:29 am] rusty : RIMM radar
[08:29 am] rusty : moving up fast
[08:30 am] dudley : thks Mitch ..very
helpful
[08:30 am] khall : Thanks Mitch
[08:30 am] mhaus : VPRT moving up again
[08:30 am] joeytsa : great lesson Mitch
[08:30 am] mh : yep
[08:31 am] jolliffboy : Thanks Mitch,
practice makes perfect….sometimes.
[08:31 am] garyb : great lessons!
[08:32 am] joeytsa : CRM tested and pushed
above prev cl
[08:32 am] apple : great reminder MK
[08:32 am] shark : best words of the day,
Mitch!
[08:32 am] garyb : wow RIMM is exploding
[08:33 am] jsn13 : Fully agree Mitch….i
went through the whole process….
[08:33 am] apple : K will be getting ready
for his short soon
[08:34 am] shark : buyout rumor at $27
[08:36 am] eyes : Mitch is Right I started
with real money and lost a lot now i am all
messed up take his advise
[08:36 am] apple : ROK still moving
[08:36 am] garyb : but eyes…you have been
in the room for a long time now
[08:36 am] shark : good point, garyb[08:37
am] Ed : but u did the right thing eyes, u
took a step back and realized u must become a
student and are on virtual. Stay on track and
u will do well
[08:38 am] qwert : i agree ed eyes is on the
right track now HE WILL BE SUCCESSFUL
[08:39 am] joeytsa : losing trade = paid
tuition, if you learned from it
[08:39 am] mhaus : VPRT turned over. Hope
you got the short.
[08:39 am] garyb : in my opinion I think
trading with real money is better as you
really try to control yourself…..I learned
trading small positions
[08:39 am] carl : What is the cost of both
Kineticks and Ninja?
[08:39 am] joeytsa : me too gary
[08:40 am] rusty : agree on trading small
positions
[08:40 am] shark : I AGREE, GARYB
[08:40 am] lightning : I think trading with
someone else’s real money is even better
[08:40 am] shark : keep positions small if
necessary, keeps you in the game
[08:41 am] joeytsa : same with placing
bets…keep them small until you can control
your emotions
[08:41 am] garyb : lol lightning!
[08:41 am] joeytsa : nice lightning
haha[08:41 am] mhaus : Carl, it is better to
purchase Ninja for onetime $995. If not,
monthly $40 or $50
[08:42 am] mhaus : Kinetics is around $70 a
month
[08:42 am] shark : paper trading is good for
learning how to place your orders properly,
and seeing how the system works
[08:42 am] carl : Thanks, Is Kineticks part
of that deal also?
[08:42 am] mhaus : No. It is separate
[08:43 am] joeytsa : VPRT coming into
vwap[08:44 am] joeytsa : new traders :
learn from our mistakes
[08:44 am] garyb : The emotional part is the
BIGGEST thing to manage when trading IMO
[08:45 am] apple : it is gary, definitely
[08:45 am] joeytsa : like Mitch said :
learn 1 technique well, learn sound money
management
[08:45 am] rusty : its much less emotional
when you are paper trading
[08:45 am] eyes : I have no emotions left
[08:45 am] joeytsa : yeah gary
[08:45 am] qwert : nice vwap bounce on vprt
joey
[08:46 am] joeytsa : it was, same with SINA
banging head on prev hi and down $1
[08:46 am] qwert : yeah nice on sina[08:46
am] joeytsa : don’t like the low vol cons on
VPRT though
[08:47 am] qwert : same here on vprt[08:47
am] eyes : eyes=mule
[08:47 am] joeytsa : loved it on the break
at $37 though 🙂
[08:47 am] garyb : hang in there eyes! It’s
all a learning experience….something to
laugh over in the future over some beer!
[08:48 am] joeytsa : mule=joey circa
1998-2011
[08:48 am] shark : PAPERTRADE LOSS – happy
it wasn’t REAL LOSS -pissed, learn not to
repeat
[08:48 am] shark : PAPERTRADE GAIN- pissed
it isn’t real REAL GAIN -happy, doing the
right thing
[08:49 am] shark : seems quite contrary!
[08:49 am] rusty : take those training
wheels off that bicycle
[08:49 am] joeytsa : ken61: you still
here?
[08:49 am] mhaus : PAPER TRADE LOSS – sad,
REAL TRADE LOSS – doomed
[08:50 am] shark : not if you keep it small,
mhaus[08:50 am] shark : keeping losses small
is rule #1
[08:50 am] joeytsa : trade loss = cdb, cost
of doing business
[08:50 am] joeytsa : right shark…
[08:50 am] mhaus : emotions, hard to keep is
small
[08:50 am] joeytsa : only way to suffer
large losses is to let small ones grow
[08:51 am] shark : first question on a
trade, HOW MUCH AM I WILLING TO RISK ON THIS
TRADE?
[08:51 am] khall : and stick to that
[08:51 am] sunset : unless u trade earnings
shark
[08:51 am] khall : sometimes that’s the hard
part
[08:51 am] joeytsa : yeah shark..and what’s
my max loss/what can go wrong
[08:51 am] shark : If you can’t risk, don’t
trade
[08:52 am] shark : PRO -how much can I
lose?
[08:52 am] shark : AMATEUR -how much can I
make?
[08:53 am] joeytsa : 100% spot on shark
[08:53 am] rusty : PAAS radar
[08:53 am] garyb : I like that shark!
[08:53 am] garyb : how about PRO= How can I
minimize losses?
[08:53 am] shark : also…….
[08:54 am] shark : scale in to a position,
so you can minimize
[08:54 am] shark : Nice, ED!
[08:55 am] Ed : it had a pullback to that
consolidation i mentioned
[08:55 am] shark : 🙂 pullback to 21min
ma
[09:00 am] pow : gmcr[09:01 am] rusty :

[09:10 am] rusty : anyone here find a SBSA

[09:10 am] joeytsa : L list @

[09:11 am] shark : Etrade Rusty SBSA short

[09:11 am] joeytsa : none @ schwab[09:11 am]
shark : AAPL moving higher of ma’s
[09:18 am] rusty : thx guys for help with
SBSA borrow
[09:24 am] Ed : ppp push REGN
[09:24 am] joeytsa : yeah Kris, all on low
vol consolidation
[09:25 am] joeytsa : thanks for the heads
up, didn’t see it on the 1min, def see it on
the 5min and 15min though
[09:29 am] joeytsa : i get wayyy too focused
on the 1min, need to check different time
frames, esp this time of the trading day
[09:39 am] rusty : QCOR radar
[09:42 am] thomasohana : RENN
[09:53 am] shark : for swing traders IACI
popping fri/today -very good vol[09:55 am]
joeytsa : yeah shark, maybe on a break of
that $44 area?
[09:57 am] shark : I wouldn’t wait that
long
[09:58 am] joeytsa : you’re younger than me
🙂
[09:58 am] shark : in addition the stock
bounced off 50day
[09:58 am] joeytsa : i was just thinking
about the resistance
[09:58 am] shark : support is stronger here,
based on volume, chart action
[10:01 am] joeytsa : lots of earnings coming
up this week
[10:01 am] shark : IACI Earnings have been
robust over the last 4 quarters.
Institutional sponsorship has increased over
the last 4 quarters. IACI has also had two
prior gap ups, both on favorable earnings
[10:02 am] joeytsa : they have had a really
nice run
[10:02 am] joeytsa : uptrend since spring
2009
[10:04 am] joeytsa : SINA coming into prev
cl
[10:05 am] shark : GS bullish Gingrich?
recommending sell SPLS !
[10:05 am] joeytsa : BIDU same into prev
cl
[10:12 am] joeytsa : seems like a slower
than normal slow time
[10:12 am] Ed : like summer time
[10:14 am] joeytsa : looks like QCOR like
that pivot there, see if it breaks down
[10:15 am] Ed : now see if engulfing pattern
can hold on the 2 min
[10:16 am] Ed : not in the trade wanted more
selling
[10:16 am] joeytsa : also looking for a
lower high?
[10:17 am] Ed : could have played the hammer
for aggressive or engulfing conservative on
2min
[10:17 am] Ed : right
[10:17 am] shark : NFLX complete RT today
[10:18 am] joeytsa : NFLX just went below
prev hi/prev cl
[10:19 am] jimmyp : Kris, does CIB pattern
usually breakout on a flag?
[10:19 am] joeytsa : Ed, on QCOR, you are
talking about the hammer at the pivot to go
long right
[10:19 am] Ed : yes
[10:19 am] Kris : yes, flag is a continuation
pattern
[10:19 am] joeytsa : would have made a nice
low risk, ok reward
[10:20 am] Ed : if i had same setup on 1min,
i may have taken it
[10:20 am] jimmyp : thanks, I just got
stopped, ha
[10:20 am] Ed : what was entry jimmyp[10:21
am] joeytsa : it’s nice on the 2min, on the
1min might have had to rely on indis[10:21
am] jimmyp : 60.42
[10:21 am] Ed : thought u were talking
qcor[10:21 am] jimmyp : was thinking it
would fall with market, not
[10:22 am] Ed : i always trade off 1min
though, just happened to look at chart in
room
[10:22 am] jimmyp : I know better, should
have followed MK advice. It’s not a pattern
I do well with
[10:23 am] joeytsa : haha, i didn’t even see
it in the room
[10:23 am] Ed : u compromised, only good in a
marriage, i think
[10:23 am] jimmyp : just can’t understand
how any bank can hold up in this
environment
[10:25 am] Ed : will give u this quote,
“markets can remain irrational longer than
you can stay solvent”
[10:25 am] joeytsa : BIDU at prev high
[10:26 am] Ed : great one to recall, keeps
one flexible and eyes on the action
[10:27 am] joeytsa : noticed a different
stochastic setting on the REGN chart..any
performance difference noticed?
[10:28 am] murano : YPF
[10:29 am] joeytsa : are these south
american banks?
[10:33 am] Ed : energy company
[10:33 am] joeytsa : thanks…just noticed a
few names today
[10:39 am] garyb : Well this is certainly
interesting….

[10:41 am] khall : why, yes it is
[10:43 am] mhaus : YPF still moving down
[10:44 am] qwert : nice trade ed[10:45 am]
Ed : thx
[10:46 am] Ed : more sellers came in
[10:47 am] sunset : ED,i didn’t see ypf
short recommendation, do i just assume that
when u said still moving down
[10:48 am] Ed : typically the ones I post
they are quick movers, based on what I am
seeing I will look for reversal of the trend
but sometimes reverse based on what I am
seeing, be it price, vol, etc.
[10:49 am] Ed : so to be specific, I was look
for reversal to go long but buyers did not
come in, stock was still weak so I shorted it
breaking the low
[10:50 am] sunset : ok got it so ,
recommending covering short for those who
shorted it
[10:51 am] sunset : on their own
[10:51 am] Ed : just like on CRIS early, I
was looking for the reversal of the trend
which was the short but saw that it was still
strong for that moment and went long then
reversed to go short
[10:52 am] Ed : correct
[10:52 am] sunset : do u usually say what’s
on ur mind though?
[10:53 am] Ed : depends on the stock, like on
REGN I did
[10:53 am] sunset : ok
[10:53 am] skydiver : ypf[10:53 am] sunset
: thnks for the verification
[10:55 am] Ed : but to clarify when I mention
watching stock, I am looking to reverse the
trend, however for advanced traders there may
be an opportunity to continue to trade the
trend then reverse
[10:56 am] sunset : like ypf reversal
now?
[10:56 am] Ed : yep, but too late 4 me to
buy
[10:56 am] sunset : k
[10:56 am] go4it : ED just curious what time
did you enter YPF?
[10:57 am] Ed : let me look
[10:58 am] Ed : i had a long entry @ 1:30 est
and stopped for breakeven then went short
1:40 @ 35.71
[10:59 am] Ed : these are est. times
[11:00 am] Ed : missed that nice long
though
[11:00 am] Ed : made up for it on short, no
love lost
[11:01 am] thomasohana : dang, i always get
out too early YPF long 34.57 out 35.05
[11:01 am] go4it : Thx for explaining ED it
helped a lot
[11:01 am] Ed : still nice trade
thomasohana[11:01 am] wade50 : I reviewed 3
min. fade over the weekend. Worked
perfectly.
[11:02 am] thomasohana : thx ed[11:02 am]
wade50 : I’m out
[11:02 am] Ed : nice going wade50
[11:04 am] qwert : ypf nice thx ed[11:05 am]
Ed : no problem, glad u got the long
[11:08 am] go4it : is there another short
here YPF?
[11:11 am] eyes : S YPF 35.76
[11:11 am] thomasohana : I went short
35.79
[11:11 am] Ed : not for me, does not fit my
style of trading
[11:11 am] khall : joey, cf is moving
[11:17 am] apple : YPF looked beautiful
[11:17 am] lightning : YOKU jump
[11:24 am] eyes : out 2/3 35.41 YPF
[11:24 am] thomasohana : nice eyes
[11:25 am] apple : very good eyes
[11:27 am] eyes : out last 1/3 35.21
[11:29 am] mh : CIB HOD
[11:30 am] thomasohana : ZNGA hod[11:34 am]
garyb : Great Joey! How is your awesome
computer??? Do you have screens all around
you now??
[11:36 am] joeytsa : loving everything so
far..lightning helped me out big-time getting
used to esig[11:37 am] joeytsa : I’m not
getting many movers today though
[11:38 am] thomasohana : joey is that your
falcon computer?
[11:38 am] joeytsa : ACI research CEO
Zabitsky calling for $270 on AAPL
[11:38 am] joeytsa : yeah thomashana[11:39
am] thomasohana : cool man, what kind of
processor does it come with? just curious
[11:39 am] joeytsa : in may 2010 zabitsky
said AAPL would drop 50%…missed it by that
much hahah[11:40 am] joeytsa : he said”
there’s no doubt i was way too early on the
call” ya think
[11:40 am] apple : just a tad
[11:41 am] lightning : i like how analysts
are never wrong. They are just early.
[11:41 am] joeytsa : i7 thomasohana[11:41
am] garyb : Joey…i bet your trading is
going better too! Can react faster with all
those setups?
[11:42 am] joeytsa : i have actually slowed
down gary…getting pickier with my trades
[11:43 am] garyb : I guess so eh…….with
all those different timelines open at
once..what looks good on one timeline may not
look so good on another
[11:43 am] joeytsa : actually they are all
the same timeline..that’s 1 of my probs’
[11:44 am] eyes : 22 trades 12 winners 10
losers -130 for the day overtrading big
time
[11:44 am] khall : joey, have you taken a
gander at CF?
[11:44 am] joeytsa : yeah khall..slow trend
up
[11:45 am] joeytsa : eyes : if all 22 trades
were good signals, then not overtrading
[11:45 am] apple : why do you feel you were
overtrading, eyes?
[11:46 am] joeytsa : khall: you playing
CF?
[11:46 am] joeytsa : Brent: any significance
with the 6,5,4 stoch setting?
[11:48 am] Brent : don’t think so Joey, those
are Mitch’s charts. He plays with stochastic
settings like my boys play GI Joe
[11:48 am] joeytsa : i have tried a few
combinations
[11:49 am] Brent : If they had Stochastics
for Xbox, he’d get one
[11:49 am] joeytsa : for some reason, not
sure why, but i use 3,12,3 on my ES tick
charts
